All Ottawa Valley Golden Retriever owners, breeders, and fanciers are encouraged to join the OVGRC.

Whether you are interested in activities such as conformation, obedience, tracking, fieldwork, agility, flyball, or if you and your Golden just enjoy each other's company doing everyday things, the Club has something to offer you.

The OVGRC is governed by a Board of Directors according to its Constitution (in MS Word format) and operates under the Code of Ethics of the Golden Retriever Club of Canada.

Our Vision

 As a club, we strive to:

  • Uphold the standard of the Golden Retriever and to promote responsible breeding and ownership

  • Increase the awareness of the multiple purposes and talents of the Golden Retriever

  • Educate and inform

  • Provide enjoyable activities for both our members and their dogs

  • Provide an informative and dynamic website for the general public with special services for OVGRC members.

  • Publish a quarterly newsletter

  • Organize activities and events throughout the year
